Now entering its third year, Goizueta’s Master of Analytical Finance program is already delivering on its promise to launch graduates into powerful and pertinent careers.
Crafted by industry professionals, the program provides unmatched experience and industry know-how through a unique analyst-in-training immersion curriculum.
“The entire curriculum focuses on students having direct experiences with the industry,” says Tom Smith, professor in the practice of finance and academic director of Goizueta’s finance master’s degree. “We place students at the center of a ‘high-touch’ learning environment. They get to interact with industry leaders and engage with markets on a daily basis.”
On top of its outstanding faculty, the new Finance Lab is a powerful catalyst for immersive, action-based learning unique to the program. Using real-time market data and trading platforms to model, trade, and collaborate on real-world client projects, the Finance Lab enables students to experience the pace of global markets in a professional trading floor setting.
Delivering Desirable Career Outcomes
That immersive and hands-on experience is clearly having a positive impact on graduates’ employability.
Within six months of graduation, 97 percent of graduates had received and accepted job offers. Their job titles ranged from data scientists, tax consultants, and analysts of all kinds.
Graduates landed positions at several well-known and competitive institutions including Bank of America, BlackRock, Deloitte, J.P. Morgan and Co., and Truist, among others.
“Our students are proving that the Master of Analytical Finance program at Goizueta is providing critical training at a critical time,” says Smith. “Students from last year’s cohort are employed at some of the largest and most prestigious finance institutions in the country. Some students are choosing smaller, more intimate engagements, such as boutique funds and family offices, while others have signed on with bigger companies.
Regardless of their path, I couldn’t be prouder of the accomplishments of our first cohort. And this year’s cohort is not disappointing either—our students are already showing their skill set in the market and have accepted job offers. Our program is making a difference in these students’ lives and our students are making a difference in the industry.

Setting up Shop in the South
The global rise of FinTech, of which Atlanta has played a central role, has ensured a steady stream of competitive applicants.
“The Master of Analytical Finance program caught my attention because it perfectly blends finance and technology,” says Krishna Thakkar 23MAF, who leveraged her degree to land her current role as an investment banking analyst.
Slightly over half of 2023 graduates elected to stay in the Southeast, pouring their talent and intellect back into the region of their alma mater. The Northeast and Midatlantic were the second most popular regions, collectively attracting 16 percent of graduates. The remaining graduates scattered across the Midwest, South Central United States and the West Coast. A notable percentage selected jobs in both Asia (seven percent) and Canada (three percent).
“I tell my students that the Master of Analytics Finance program is offering access to excellence,” says Smith. “Every other program says ‘world class professor at a world class institution,’ but how many deliver this? We offer access to the most excellent instruction, access to an excellent facility and lab, hands-on access to industry leaders, and unparalleled access to investment funds that make a difference (such as the Peachtree Minority Venture Fund). Goizueta is excellent, and we are proving it every day!”
