A Message from Goizueta’s New John H. Harland Dean – Gareth James
Dear Goizueta Community,
As I begin my journey with Goizueta Business School, I want to start by thanking all of you for the incredibly warm welcome.
I am so grateful to Karen Sedatole for the amazing job she has done as interim dean. Throughout the two most challenging years you could imagine, she has worked tirelessly not only to keep the school on track but also to prepare us for the future.
Over the past few months, I have been fortunate enough to meet with a variety of members of the Goizueta community, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends. Each meeting has provided me with a deeper understanding of the school and enhanced my excitement and enthusiasm for Goizueta. I look forward to continuing these conversations and hearing your ideas on how we can take Goizueta to the next level.
I am truly honored to have been chosen to lead such a great school.
It is clear that President Fenves and Provost Bellamkonda have impressive ambitions to move Emory from a top-tier institution to something truly extraordinary. After spending the last several months gaining a deeper understanding of Goizueta, I believe that our school’s goal should be no less ambitious.
I’m looking forward to joining all of you for the ride.
