Each year the Atlanta Business Chronicle offers insight into who stands out among Atlanta’s leaders in the field of education. The list ranges from those holding government responsibility related to our education system, to professionals working at public and private primary and secondary schools, to the leaders of Atlanta’s top colleges and universities. Goizueta Business School’s Associate Dean Brian Mitchell was recently named among the city’s top leaders in academia in the Chronicle’s annual “Who’s Who in Education” guide.
Mitchell was named Associate Dean at Goizueta in January of 2011. Prior to joining Goizueta, he spent over 18 years in marketing and strategy roles in the pharmaceutical industry. During that time, he earned distinguished awards such as Brand of the Year, the Global Marketing Award, and the Solvay Summit Award – the company’s highest individual honor. In 2010, Mitchell accepted an executive position with Accenture’s strategy practice and led the strategic support team for brands at Astra Zeneca.
Brian Mitchell now leads Goizueta’s Full-Time MBA program for which he is responsible for all aspects of the students’ experience. He also leads the MBA program office and manages the academic, international and leadership components of the program.
