For the third year in a row, Executive Women of Goizueta (EWG) and Goizueta Business School hosted a donor’s cocktail reception and preview of the latest fall fashions at Bloomingdale’s at Lenox Mall. It was the first time, however, that EWG members worked the runway modeling the latest trends for the 60-plus women (and men, including Dean Larry Benveniste) who were in attendance. Several 2011 EWG board members were also on hand for the event, including Lynn Labuda (09EMBA), Pam Tipton (08EMBA) and Jodi Rausch (01MBA).
After brief introductions by Vice Dean for Faculty and Research Maryam Alavi and EWG 2011 President Celena Evans (02MBA), alumni models Lindsay Mandeville Bryant (06MBA), Baebel Freudenthaler (07EvMBA), Fontaine Lee (04MBA), Marci Fisher (95BBA, 13EMBA) and Laura Balser (94BBA, 01MBA) showcased apparel and accessories from designers such as Kate Spade, Elie Tahari and Marc Jacobs.
“This year it’s all about soft and feminine,” said Bloomingdale’s personal shopper Stacy Bryson.
Each of the alumni models purchased their runway-tested outfits and — as with all purchases made by attendees during the event — Bloomingdale’s donated 10 percent of the purchase price to EWG and Goizueta.
An alumnae organization of GBS, EWG’s mission is to provide a forum for Goizueta women to be successful women in their lives, careers and communities. The 2011 Executive Women of Goizueta Conference, “The Power of Now,” will take place on Oct. 5 at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta.
